MP3 Cat is an application which helps users to modify and organize large music collections in a single data base. The program is compatible with MP3 and other music files. It also allows users to view detailed and extended information as well as to edit tag information.
The program presents a single window interface with a file explorer pane on the left, and detailed file information on the right side. Users can manually edit ID3 tag information or use the automatic tagger which connects to Amazon or CDDB by Internet to retrieve artist, and album information.
MP3 Cat features WinAmp support and can generate WinAmp playlists, plus play selected files directly in WinAmp. Other than MP3 files, it supports Ogg Vorbis, Monkey's Audio, and WMA formats. In addition, users can organize the music by custom or generic categories, artist, album, genre and others.
This version includes a WAV converter, enabling users to convert MP3 to WAV which is the universal CD playing format. Another very important feature is the reporting function which creates database reports in different formats, such as HTML, CSV, XML, and text.
MP3 Cat music manager, with its tagging and conversion tools, becomes a competitive program for a low price. |
